Venus and Crescent Moon

Look outside an hour before sunrise tomorrow morning for the crescent moon appearing near the bright planet Venus. It is essential to have a clear view of the southeastern sky, without trees and buildings in the way. The two are a handsome pair in the zodiacal constellation Capricornus. They aren’t far from where the sun will rise.

There are other planets nearby. Look to the right of Venus and the moon for the next brightest planet, Saturn which is in the zodiacal constellation Sagittarius.

Look farther south for the third planet, Jupiter, the second brightest planet in the morning sky.
