President Trump, with the NRA (National Rifle Association), is encouraging Congress to pass legislation that would make it easier for anyone to buy gun silencers without a background check. This would reverse federal safety laws that have prevented silencers out of the wrong hands for decades.

Now there is one bill in Congress that would repeal all these federal gun silencer laws. The gun lobby says that these new laws would protect hunters’ ears. Not so. They are to increase profits for the gun industry.
