I believe Rebecca Gilbert of
Valerie Sonnenthal ChilmarkI believe Rebecca Gilbert of Native Earth Teaching Farm is wholly deserving of this award. She continues to live on land passed down over 3 generations of her family. She started a Fiber Arts group on the Island, teaches about farming, animals, bees, natural dyes and so much more. She is generous with her time and knowledge. She makes the best hard sausage on Island. She supports so many endeavors locally. She completely embodies the spirit of Ruth Bogen and is a true pioneer never wavering from "contributing to the quality of life on Martha's Vineyard."
