Stakeholders are invited to attend meetings to learn more about the Massachusetts Shellfish Initiative, a new organization that brings wild and recreational shellfish harvesters, aquaculture growers, state and town agencies, and non-governmental, environmental, and research organizations together to discuss a state-wide shellfish plan.

Meetings will be held around the commonwealth to provide recommendations as the initiative is developed.

A meeting will take place on the Vineyard on Friday, May 5 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Katharine Cornell Theatre in Vineyard Haven. Those unable to attend the meeting can contact Catie Tobin at [email protected] to take a survey.
