State Rep. Dylan Fernandes was one of many state legislators to visit farm to school programs last week. Mr. Fernandes visited the Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School, where he spoke with students, toured the school garden, and ate school lunch.

The visit was organized by Island Grown Initiative and the charter school. Mr. Fernandes also spoke to two high school classes at the charter school about climate change and getting involved in politics.
