Big Bridge, Little Bridge

When I was shellfish warden in Oak Bluffs, old timers told me the water that ran out under the Big Bridge was so enormous and ran so fast, it made great big waves.

When I was shellfish warden in Oak Bluffs, the old timers told me that the water that ran out under the Big Bridge was so enormous and ran so fast, it made great big waves out into the Sound. Then, somebody had the idea to build the Little Bridge. The thinking was that more water would go out faster. However, it had the opposite effect: the water ran out much slower. The Little Bridge doesn’t want to be there. In fact, it needs to be dredged out once or twice a year. The Little Bridge really doesn’t want to be there.

Is it possible to block the little bridge water outlet and see if the flow improves under the big bridge? How are the fish in the pond doing, what id the water health like in there with both bridges?
