<p>The League of Women Voters will host a candidates forum on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 3 p.m. at the Oak Bluffs library.</p>

As election day approaches, the League of Women Voters of Martha’s Vineyard invites the community to a candidates forum on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 3 p.m. at the Oak Bluffs library.

Paulo DeOliveira and Martina Thornton, the two candidates for Register of Deeds, will appear first. They will be followed by Neil Maciel and Robert Ogden, candidates for county sheriff. League member Judy Crawford will serve as moderator.

The program will also be recorded and televised on MVTV, channel 13.

Marc Rivers Oak Bluffs

Will the candidates be allowed to field questions from the public or will they only be allowed to answer the questions from the League, which I'm sure they'll get in advance to prepare for.
