For those who like to get up early on New Year’s Day (or keep rolling from the night before) the eighth annual New Year’s day disc golf tournament begins at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 1. The event has grown each year, which is surprising for such an early hour on the day after the largest party night of the year. Never let it be said that frisbee golfers are slackers. They live life to its most intense, and now you can too.

The day is presented by Offshore Ale, The Lazy Frog (don’t let the name fool you) and The Barn Bowl & Bistro, and takes place at the Riverhead Disc Golf Course on Barnes Road in Oak Bluffs.

Rise, shine and frisbee. It’s a whole new you for 2016.
