I take the gravest possible offense with the word loophole to describe a judge not informing a defendant of the seriousness of their pleas.

I take the gravest possible offense with the word loophole as used to describe a district court judge not informing a defendant of the seriousness of their pleas. If we as a country are committed to providing fair and equitable justice, then we have an obligation not to diminish the rights we have bestowed on ourselves.
