Hanukkah Party On Friday, Dec. 11, the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center will hold its community Hanukkah party and celebration featuring the Bart Weisman Klezmer Swing Group.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and everyone is encouraged to bring their menorahs — candles will be supplied, as will desserts and latkes. Dinner, however, is potluck, so bring a vegetarian dish, salad, of kugel to share.

On Dec. 25, there is no need to bring food, though, to the Shabbat service. After a brief service from 5:30 to 6 p.m. there will be a Chinese food Shabbat dinner featuring food brought over by ferry from Peking Palace in Falmouth. Dinner is $20 per adult.
