After his son was killed in a motorcycle accident, Rick Harrington proposed the idea of creating a children’s memorial at the base of the Edgartown Lighthouse. Bricks have been dedicated there for the past 14 years in a ceremony held each fall. This year’s dedication ceremony is on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 1 p.m. The rain date is Oct. 3.

The Harbor View Hotel will provide refreshments and the observance offers a chance for fellowship and music honoring the children.
