John Thomas Slayton of Edgartown, a recent graduate of the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School, has been awarded a $2,000 Charles J. Lewin Scholarship by the Community Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts.

He plans to use the scholarship to study business at Curry College. The Charles J. Lewin Interfaith Scholarship was formed in 1958 as the Interfaith Scholarship Foundation of New Bedford.
