The Peter Simon Gallery will host Alan Dershowitz on Sunday, July 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the store on Main street in Vineyard Haven. Mr. Dershowitz will not be defending anyone, but rather discussing his memoir Taking the Stand: My Life in the Law.

Mr. Dershowitz will also be speaking at the Chilmark Public Library on July 9 at 5 p.m.

Mr. Dershowitz is the author of 30 works of fiction and non-fiction, including six bestsellers. He is a law professor at Harvard University and a well-known criminal lawyer, successfully defending high profile clients such as O.J. Simpson, Michael Milken, Mike Tyson, Anatoly Sharansky and Claus von Bülow.
