<p>Two Oak Bluffs students were winners in an annual student marine art contest.</p> <p>Everett Dorr, a second grader at Oak Bluffs School, won fifth place in the elementary school category for his Arctic puffin art. Oak Bluffs fourth grader Oliver Dorr won an honorable mention in the scientific/nature illustration category (all grades) for his depiction of a wolffish.</p>
Two Oak Bluffs students were winners in the Massachusetts Marine Educators and NOAA’s Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary annual student marine art contest.

The theme of this year’s contest was amazing ocean creatures of Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary. Everett Dorr, a second grader at Oak Bluffs School, won fifth place in the elementary school category for his drawing of an Arctic puffin. His brother, Oak Bluffs fourth grader Oliver Dorr, received an honorable mention in the scientific/nature illustration category (all grades) for his depiction of a wolffish.
This year there were nearly 800 contest entries from students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Art contest judges included marine policy specialists and educators, scientists, professional artists and graphic designers. The winning art becomes part of a traveling exhibition this summer.
