Let the Bad Martha Beer Flow

The first 10 per cent of the profits from beer sales at Bad Martha Farmer's Brewery opening on Saturday will be donated to the Island Food Pantry — evidently not such a Bad Martha after all.

Bad Martha Farmer’s Brewery officially opens on Saturday, June 21 at 11 a.m., but if you want to combine tasting and listening, you might drop by Friday, June 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. as Barbara Dacey and other WMVY radio personalities stop by for a visit. They will answer questions about the new 88.7 FM listener-supported radio station.

Saturday’s opener will feature a sampling of 10 craft beers, growlers, retail and nursery plants for sale. The first 10 per cent of the profits from beer sales will be donated to the Island Food Pantry — evidently not such a Bad Martha after all.

The brewery is located on Upper Main street in Edgartown, on the Donaroma’s Nursery grounds.

Jonathan Blum Edgartown

Please join us either at the WMVY party on Friday, June 20, 5-7pm, or at our Grand Opening on Saturday, June 21, 11am-7pm. Jim Carleton, Master Brewer, has used local ingredients in a number of delicious brews, including Not Your Sugar Momma's Chocolate (Chocolate Stout), Chilmark Coffee (Coffee Brown Ale), Martha's Vineyard Grape Leaves (all brews), Martha's Vineyard Honey Company (Honey Helles), and more...Total of 9 beers available on tap for sampling and by the Glass or Growler. All spent grain given to local farmers for happy cows and pigs. While we're a Tasting Room and Beer Garden, you'll also find a few yummy nibbles available for purchase, including Scottish Bake House freshly baked pretzel loafs and beer mustard dip, Eileen Blake pies and beer brownies. If you bring your well-behaved dog, we even have Black Dog snacks (non-beer!) and fresh water for them to enjoy while you enjoy a brew in our Beer Garden on on our front porch. We also hope you enjoy our fun retail merchandise available for purchase. We look forward to welcoming you at the Bad Martha Farmer's Brewery! Jonathan Blum,
