Downtown Vineyard Haven is in desperate need of revitalization, and Stop & Shop is in desperate need of a new modern grocery store. I think that through the years of good service to the Island, Stop & Shop has proven that they deserve this opportunity. I fully support this proposal.

There is no doubt in my mind that a new supermarket on Water Street will help attract additional improvements to the area. Martha’s Vineyard residents and visitors need a modern grocery store. Stop & Shop is proposing a store that will improve the entire area, while improving out shopping experience. Consider the fact that the new building and the fact that it will be much more attractive.

Stop & Shop has proven to be a great corporate citizen and I have no doubt that they will continue to be an asset to the Island. Their new store should be allowed to move forward without any additional delay.
