Bunch of Grapes Bookstore in Vineyard Haven is hosting a series of special events highlighting authors and young people. All events are free and the best part is that 20 per cent of all book sales during the week benefit Island school libraries.

A pajama party with author Greg Mone starts things off on Friday, April 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. Author Lara O’Brien visits on Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to noon. Kate Feiffer brings her book Henry the Dog with No Tail to life on Monday, April 14, from 3 to 5 p.m. Award-winning cartoonist and illustrator Paul Karasik leads a demonstration from 4 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15. Students from the regional high school will read selections from their literary journals on Wednesday, April 16, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Author and illustrator Tara Reynolds comes for a tea party based on her book Alphabet Zooup from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 17.
