The Martha’s Vineyard Poets’ Collective gets the honors at an authors’ reception on Sunday, Dec. 8 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bananas on Main street in Vineyard Haven.

Recently, the Martha’s Vineyard Center for the Visual Arts awarded a grant to the collective for image-inspired writing. The members have published their first book, which will be available at the reception.
