<p> Triathlon Donates $2,500</p> <p> The first Vineyard Warrior Triathlon, held Sept, 11, raised more than $2,500 for the Martha&#8217;s Vineyard Boys&#8217; &amp; Girls&#8217; Club, according to Matt Brackman, president of Odyssey TriSport and race director for the event. Odyssey Trisport donated a portion of all contestants&#8217; registration fees to the Island nonprofit, as well as to the Oak Bluffs Police department for a parks beautification project. </p>

Triathlon Donates $2,500

The first Vineyard Warrior Triathlon, held Sept, 11, raised more than $2,500 for the Martha’s Vineyard Boys’ & Girls’ Club, according to Matt Brackman, president of Odyssey TriSport and race director for the event. Odyssey Trisport donated a portion of all contestants’ registration fees to the Island nonprofit, as well as to the Oak Bluffs Police department for a parks beautification project.

The Olympic-distance triathlon featured a 1 mile swim, a 24-mile bike ride and a 6.2-mile run into one race spanning the towns of Oak Bluffs, Tisbury, West Tisbury and Edgartown.
