But, let&#8217;s face it, a kite wouldn&#8217;t have stood a chance against even the much milder than expected Irene visitation.</p> <p> But now we are back to our gentle Island breezes and the wind festival is making another go at it on Saturday, September 3, at Waban Park. The festival begins at 11 a.m. and goes until dusk with kites, frisbees and all manner of wind powered flying contraptions, not to mention high spirits, soaring at the close of summer. </p>
