Miles for Memories Walk

The annual Alzheimer’s Miles of Memories Walk steps off next Sunday, May 16, at noon, along the bike path from the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School to Dodger’s Hole and back. The walk is just under two and a half miles.

The rain or shine walk is a fundraiser for Alzheimer’s Services of Cape Cod and the Islands, a nonprofit organization that helps families of people who suffer from Alzheimer’s or related dementia. It is estimated that some 8,500 Cape and Islanders suffer from a form of dementia.

All monies remain on the Cape and Islands.

This year, because of bridge work along the usual Beach Road route, there is no kayaking event.
