Storyteller Susan Klein Gives Special Free Show

<p> Storyteller and author Susan Klein will recount her Island childhood in a special free performance at the Old Whaling Church on Saturday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m., sponsored by the Martha&#8217;s Vineyard Savings Bank. </p> <p> A signed copy of Ms. Klein&#8217;s book, Through a Ruby Window: A Martha&#8217;s Vineyard Childhood, will be given out to the first 250 people at the event. Immediately following the presentation Ms Klein will meet guests at a reception with refreshments in the Baylies Room downstairs. </p>

Storyteller and author Susan Klein will recount her Island childhood in a special free performance at the Old Whaling Church on Saturday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m., sponsored by the Martha’s Vineyard Savings Bank.

A signed copy of Ms. Klein’s book, Through a Ruby Window: A Martha’s Vineyard Childhood, will be given out to the first 250 people at the event. Immediately following the presentation Ms Klein will meet guests at a reception with refreshments in the Baylies Room downstairs.

The bank’s chief operating officer Richard Leonard said, “This is a rare opportunity to experience the art of storytelling from a renowned artist. Susan’s story has a special local historical relevance and this evening will bring both the story and the storyteller home once more.”

Susan Klein is a 2007 Creative Living Award recipient, a nationally recognized storyteller, educator, speaker, author, editor and recording artist. Through her workshops, published works and one-woman shows, she has shared her sense of humor and insights with people around the world.
